Hayward Apartments is a 525 unit housing complex and was purchased by Shomof Group in 2002. The building was neglected and rundown until the Shomof Group acquired it. The Shomof Group added amenities, such as, a rooftop lounge, controlled access, a 24-hour doorman, and a recreational community center. It has since been completely restored as a central part of the revitalization of Downtown’s Historic Core. The retail consists of D-Town Burger, Starbucks, Silver Lake Ramen, Tacos 1986, The Rhythm Room, and Joe’s Pizza among others.
