SEARS/ LIFE REBUILDING CENTER

The Sears, Roebuck & Company’s former product distribution center is a historic landmark located in the Mail Order District in Los Angeles, California. Built in 1927, the building remains one of the largest in Los Angeles, measuring 1,863,000 SF. Located on 26 acres including the historic 1.6 million square feet Sears building, the proposed Life Rebuilding Center (LRC) will serve as a national model on how private and public partnerships can come together to bring about a real solution to addressing the homeless issue that major cities around the country are facing today. It will also provide direct wrap-around services to where they are needed most. Through working with campus staff, individuals served at the LRC will benefit from personalized services that will go directly to addressing their problems so that they can overcome them and become contributing members within our communities.
